11 year old caring for paralysed mum

An article in tnamcot.com is enough to put a tear in anyones eye. A girl at the age of eleven Nichapha (nickname Nong Orm) cares for her paralysed mum by herself.  She wants to be a teacher and that is also the dream of her mother she cares for.

They have very little income only a monthly handicapped person's allowance of 800 baht. She cycles the 3 kilometers to school and back.  Weekends Nong Orm works for 50 baht a day at a noodle factory. The money goes towards her mum's care.
