New Psy video 'Gentleman' chalks up 82million YouTube views in three days

Follow up to 'Gangnam Style' is online smash

Korean rapper Psy is one course for another worldwide viral smash, after new single 'Gentleman' was watched over 82million times just days after its online premiere.

'Gangnam Style' had previously broken the record for most YouTube views with over 1.5 billion, and it seems 'Gentleman' could be following in its footsteps - as it gained over 22 million views in just 24 hours.

Tweeting about the success of the song, Psy wrote on his account, "51 million views in 40 hours!!My God!!"

Psy did admit that he felt pressure to follow up such a massive hit as 'Gangnam Style', which brought him success in the Western world.

According to the Daily Mail, the rapper said, "I've been doing this for 12 years. Would it be fair to call me a one-hit wonder just because my next song falls flat?

He continued, "I gained international fame almost by accident but that does not mean that I will make desperate efforts to maintain that global popularity. I will just continue to do what I have been doing for all these years. If it satisfies people's appetite it will. If not, it won't."

He also said that he hoped his music could go some way in diffusing the tension between North and South Korea, adding, "Hopefully my Gangnam Style, my Gentleman, my music videos and my choreography... they might enjoy them too."
