Pa Muang Field Force commander Maj Gen Banjerd Changpoonthong said at a press conference Wednesday that  officials have been able to confiscate 8.8 million tablets of methamphetamine  (madness pills or ya ba), 300 kilos  of heroin, 400 kilos of Ice or crystal amphetamine, and 20 kilos of marijuana during their raids in these provinces.

The same campaigns also netted  176 firearms, 4,000 rounds of ammunition, 222 dynamites, and 1,000 other explosives.

145 illegal workers from Myanmar, Laos, North Korea, and Vietnam were also rounded up and deported  while illegal logging rings operating in the areas were also cracked, he said.
