Chiang Mai police find Ya Ba with new designer look
« on: November 08, 2012, 03:44:06 PM »
CHIANG MAI, Nov 8 - A suspected drug dealer has been arrested at his home in this northern province with stocks of amphetamines, commonly called Ya Ba, packed ready for further distribution.

Narongsak Yapu, also known as Jo Chiang Dao, said he worked closely with his girlfriend to smuggle the drugs into Thailand.

Using his rental house in Chiang Mai as a center for packaging and distribution, teenagers and night club locations are among the suspect’s customers.

Police said the drugs have a different look as they now come in colourful, cartoon or fruit-like designs which are made to intentionally look like sweets. Sold for 200 baht per pill to younger customers, it has prompted the Regional Police Division 5 to carry out urgent further investigations to locate the source of production. (MCOT online news)
