I can't see why anyone would want to ride a motorbike in Thailand in the first place.

Oh well it was only 10 bht in them days ;)

Apparently they were tourists on a rented motorbike, thankfully the driver of the Isuzu was on the ball.

Both are at fault!
Car going faster and thinks they have room to pass!
Motorcy!!! Over loaded, not all wearing helmets, motorcy driver swerves at the time the car is half way passed it, if they did not react so violently (Knew how to ride properly) the driver could have steered away from the car without hitting it, but only one that was fully aware of what was happening around them would be able to do that.
Motorcy driver not aware of surrounding situation, typically they think they own the road and DO NOT have any situational awareness at all, probably think the good merit they did in the morning will last all day??

Just my $0.02 worth, we do have free speech where I am at the moment.

Thanks for your contribution to the thread KC & dawn.
Just a note my posts in this thread are not of dodgy videos dug up from around the world (as been suggested) or to taint the image of the thai people, they are daily events happening which we all should be aware of.

Bus Drives Into Waiting Crowd

Passengers waiting for a night bus at Lampang bus station were injured when a bus suddenly burst from the platform into the waiting area.

Thaiga.  There's a story about a farang eating a girl's Foo Foo in public during Songkran.  Can you find that video? Took place in Pattaya.  Supposedly the police caught him.

Weve all been there, it's crazy, you see the car behind you in the rear view mirror racing up behind you, and the driver will risk his life to get just one car in front and if you don't let him pass. this is what could happen.
Drive carefully guys.

Bit more info on the above post it was the impatient bikers at fault, story and translation below by Albert Jack pattayaone.net

Obviously impatience set in as three riders, one with a female passenger, attempted to use a gap in the oncoming traffic to jump the red light and reach the centre crossing of the six lane highway.

However, they were clearly not paying attention as all three ride directly into the path of an oncoming car which completely wipes out two of the bikes, with three people. The third, on the far left of shot, somehow manages to squeeze past and it not collected.

Thankfully, we are told, there were no fatalities but the viral clip does provide a timely reminder to take care and remain focused when using the roads.
