So all the money in the world won't get you a ride on the Thai dreamliner. The safety belt cannot accommodate a passenger whose waist is larger than 56 inches. no kids sitting on laps either.

Your waist matters if you want to fly THAI Dreamliner  nationmultimedia.com

Anyone who goes to a psychiatrist should have his head examined.

Just to make a little correction, this limitation is only with the business class seat, your fine in Cattle class.
Its the inflatable seat belt (see that bulge in the right hand part of the belt) that is this certified with the seat assembly to 16G dynamic test among the myriad of test and compliances to meet the FAA regulations.

Thanks for the info KC. The article reads:

Passengers intending to fly business class on Thai Airways’ new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will have to first pass the waist test

or did you not read it :spin

If one did not click on the link that someone could conscrew the OP's post to cover the whole aircraft.
Yes I did read it, but being (in my previous life,LOL) an aircraft interior designer, one gets to know too much about these things.

Also if the person is over 56" in girth, one could extrapolate that the said passenger would be overweight and approaching or exceeding the design limits of the seat, there is a fine balance in the design to meet regulations and still have an aircraft that is light enough to fly and be profitable.
Most of the regulations concerning the Cabin interior are to stop stupid from doing stupid things.
