The Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn are among the top ten landmarks travellers rated as their favourites in Asia on travel website TripAdvisor.

Wat Pho's reclining Buddha ranked fourth on this list while the palace came in sixth and Wat Arun placed ninth in the survey of top landmarks in Asia. The site ranked the most spectacular landmarks from millions of travellers' reviews in the past year.

Angkor Wat in Cambodia tops both the Asian and worldwide rankings.

The favourite iconic landmarks offered both colourful histories and culture and are considered "must see" attractions, said Barbara Messing, TripAdvisor's chief marketing officer.
