Pattaya Bar Girl falls from her 4th floor apartment
« on: September 24, 2012, 02:13:26 PM »
Early on Sunday Morning a 20 year old Beer Bar worker fell from her 4th floor apartment window following a bust-up with her boyfriend.

]The incident occurred at the N.P.K. 9 Apartments and resulted in serious leg and head injuries sustained to Khun Parichat. She appeared heavily intoxicated and sustained two suspected broken legs and a skull fracture by falling onto a canopy at the rear of the building and then onto a BMW car parked next to it. Witnesses confirmed hearing the pair arguing prior to the fall. Despite the severity of the injuries, she remained conscious throughout and was rushed to Banglamung Hospital for treatment. The boyfriend, who does not wish to be named, was taken by Police for questioning, although it is believed she fell from the apartment window without assistance from a third-party. The case continues.

Anyone who goes to a psychiatrist should have his head examined.

I fell five and a half stories off a condo when I was fourteen years old.  I landed on my feet, my as.s hit the ground, my spine contracted which in turn compressed my spine and shattered / flattened a vertabrae in my lower back.  I spent only three days in the hospital.  You could say I was lucky.  I couldn't run for almost one year.  Let me tell you, back pain sucks as no matter how much you try to position yourself, you just can't rid yourself of the pain.  I remember when I was falling, I passed by this lady on the third floor who was reading a newspaper or something and as soon as I passed her, I heard her yell, "Hey!  You can't do that!"  I landed in an area about one square meter missing a cement walkway, a pipe sticking out of a wall, wooden stakes in the ground for newly planted trees, and the condo gardener who yelled "You Mother F..ker!" when I landed next to him.  I guess I scared the crap out of him.

How did this happen?  Our condo was locked except for the sliding doors out on the balcony.  My brother and I didn't have a key and our parents were in town shopping.  We were wet and cold from the surf and needed to get inside.  I took it upon me to climb out from the fire exit and see if I could get my hand on the balcony railing.  Bad idea.

The doctors told me the Vertabrae would actually heal stronger, as the body forms a ring around the vertabrae, but the extra bone material would probably cause me back pain later on in life as the Vertabrae being larger than it was before, would push into adjacent areas resulting in back pain.  Yep, I feel it already.  Thank God for 600mg of Ibuprofen.

This girl in the above story got much more than I did, and she is lucky to walk away alive...er put in a stretcher and wheeled away.
