Are you to smart to be scammed - take the test
« on: January 25, 2018, 05:53:29 PM »
How easily do you think you could spot an online scam? - Many people believe, oh not me, i can spot a scam, i will never become a victim of bogus emails or other fraudulent attempts to trick me into handing over my information.

HERE: take the test, see how smart you are. https://takefive-stopfraud.org.uk/takethetest/

Requests to move money: A genuine bank or organisation will never contact you out of the blue to ask for your PIN, full password or to move money to another account. Only give out your personal or financial details to use a service that you have given your consent to, that you trust and that you are expecting to be contacted by.

Clicking on links/files: Don’t be tricked into giving a fraudster access to your personal or financial details. Never automatically click on a link in an unexpected email or text.

Personal information: Always question uninvited approaches in case it’s a scam. Instead, contact the company directly using a known email or phone number.

With a test like this you are looking long and hard to spot the fraud, so not too difficult to spot them.  The problem comes when you receive an isolated text and respond in haste.

why do people run for the phone

off course your right t/t, it's only natural some reply in haste being worried about their money. when the phone rings in this house everybody runs for it, then i shout there only after your money. the phone rang a couple of days ago, a woman said who am i talking to, mrs t. now conditioned how to answer said, who do you want to talk to, they cut off. scammers.
