Not only the phone & email, notice they also have your country of residence as well as your nationality. For me I have always traveled to and from Thailand on my kiwi PP, but I am living in Kanada at the moment. If I do that then It could be beond the comprehension of sonchai immigration officer.

On another point I have found it extremely curious as to why The Thai immigration do not quiry everyone when you get to the passport control. Every other country I have been too the officer ALWAYS ask's some simple basic questions, in LOS the do not, I have always wondered why as I would have thought that one could read someones body language by the way they answer questions??????

if b/s means what i think it does as in buffalo sh*t.

i can't see any harm in giving e/mail tel no as they are both disposable anyway, but to knowingly giving false infomation to the immigration on entry to a country, that could be serious.

i think more of a contact for those who come here for a holiday visit, would certainly be an advantage to getting a lost passport back.

happy new year

Hi nan yes you are right about the bs meaning. I'm just saying when I arrive in Thailand I don't have a SIM card as yet and I don't give my Aussie mobile number to anyone except friends and it would do them no good as I don't use my Aussie SIM card in Thailand. The email address would be real though, I would put my work email on there.

They always ask for a phone number from me at immig on my yearly visits,i give her indoors number. more of a formality i think as if they was to phone, they would need to be bilingual to most visitors :-[

if you go for the pinkie they even want your dabs.
