Not new - just a loss!

Amporn Restaurant has been sold to a new owner and will be closed tonight and reopened on July 18 by its new owner Robert under a new name.

As much as I feel for Gaston being able to take care of himself now I think it's a big loss for Korat: it was one of Korat's best restaurants.

I agree. One of Korat's best. Perhaps the new restaurant will be good but there's no replacing Amporn. I wish Gaston the best for the future and hope to see him around town once in a while.
