Update. I spoke to one of my friends at the TOT immigration. It is true, you will be sent to BBk unless you know someone or are tight with someone in immigration. That's the only reason I was able to help my colleague get his. As for the story of ONE single person ruining it for all of the expats in Korat...That's a load of horse sheist. Yeah, the story is true about someone losing their temper, but that's not the reason why they are denying the COR document to all the expats. Things can change in a heart beat here. That's how Thailand is. I'm even inclined to think that the people who give out tea money like it's water are also to blame for this. The Thais have gotten used to it. Then when one person puts his foot down, all hell breaks loose. As ************ stated, you can possibly get the COR from the police. That is where I got my first one.
Update 2
There was a meeting today with immigration from BOTH offices. Supposedly, you'll be able to get a COR document from CC by next week. Yes, there will be a fee so don't complain, whine, or bitch about it. Think about the hoops one would have to go through to obtain the equivalent in your own country.
To the person who lost his cool a few weeks ago. I would take Ajax's advice and take that fruit basket and flowers to the staff and people that you insulted. I would also offer a deepest apology.
