Korat Immigration Office Chokchai (moved again!!!)

Now who knows anything that just doesn't add to the common confusion? I don't mean only where the location of the new office is but where I have to send my 90-day report or apply for my next extension of stay?

Nothing clear yet! HP of immigration says:

Send the mail before the renewal date 7 days to
90 DAYS REGISTRATION, ROOM 206

But where to send your 90-days report in Korat? Probably the mail will still be delivered when addressed to the old address

Last week I received a letter from the new immigration office with their address as

Nakhonratchasima Immigration Office
1/8 Dechudom Road, Tambon Chokchai,
Amphur Chockchai, Nakhonratchasima 30190
Phone/Fax: 044 49 29 03-4

But my letter for the 90-day-report via mail sent there wasn't accepted by them. Guess that means it can be done via mail exclusively at the Bangkok address.

They also gave a phone number 044 465 342 and a Fax number 044 465 335-7 for a "Foreigner Service Division". Does anybody know what that is and what they do?

A wild guess. 1. It's a phone/fax machine on a desk in the Immigration Office 2. There's a staff member or intern sitting there who can speak some English.

The street view definitely catches the eye; I wouldn't expect a Thai government office in there, if it wasn't for the pictures of king and queen:

Obviously Thai immigration in Korat don't think much of retired farangs now for farangs in Pattaya and Jomtien they have built a lovely immigration building 100 meters from the beach, I should mention that I went there a while back and it seems they have been taking lessons in how to be a normal human being, quite a suprise it was

Following a recent discussion on another forum I advise everybody take utmost care when dealing with that new office. If they also follow that forum they might have found out some things by now...

And make sure you supply them with lots of 100 baht bills so they can give change to fellow expats.
