Well, I wanted to get internet banking on an account I had opened about 25 years ago at Bangkok Bank. Lots of forms to fill out, having to go there twice again - and then it turned out, that there were not able to give me internet banking on such an old account, asked me to just open a new one. Then it were no problem at all. For them maybe, but I would have to change a lot of connections to that bank like AIS withdrawing the monthly fee for my wife's mobile phone, notify my pension insurance to transfer to a new account and hope it works etc.
I used to have internet banking for an account at UOB, but for some unknown reason that account cannot be transferred to anymore at all, after they made some internal changes and gave me a new account number. Transfers are neither accepted to that new account number nor to the old; I would need to go there and deposit cash. They just don't know what went wrong or how to fix it, just kept telling me, I must be doing something wrong with the transfer. But what exactly they could not find out.

So my confidence in internet banking at a Thai bank has become very limited!
