Piers Morgan Show Axed

I'm not a fan of Piers Morgan the individual. He's been connected with too many dodgy dealings in previous jobs. However, his show got off to a good start and he was almost a lone voice in the case for more effective gun control in the US. However, I have noticed his long and frequent absences of late and the drab interviews with unknowns during which he seemed obliged to claim them as close friends. The axing isn't really surprising and, I suspect, long in the preparation.

One of his own reasons for the show's demise is that viewers weren't happy to have a Briton comment on US matters. I've wondered about this for some time but it's a rather sad comment in itself. It's usually the 'developing' countries such as Thailand that shun comment from outside with others taking a more enlightened and mature view. Indeed, if Morgan is correct, then that contrasts rather sharply with recent nose poking into Ukrainian affairs by Obama and Kerry.

I suppose one might argue that it could work both ways. Keep your nose out of our affairs and we'll keep ours out of yours. Perhaps. Perhaps not.

I am sure that Mr. Morgan will rationalize a great deal on why he was canned.  And if he makes him feel better, more power to the guy.  However, the problem was that he was crappy and like many shows on CNN - the viewership numbers are/were dismal.

IMO it was not a British/American issue.  As the article mentioned his contempt when expounding was palatable, and when combined with his condescending attitude, he was difficult to watch, and as a result viewers went elsewhere.

He is a toss pot, of the highest caliber.
This will free up the air waves for more useful broadcasts like the ab roller or something.
He's not fit to clip Parkinson's mic on his jacket imo.
