I have previously posted about not wanting cross forum BS on K-F. Let members of other forums say what they want and how they want but let this forum lead by example of what a good forum is and should be. By reacting too much to silly posts on other forums, there is the possibility of allowing those posters to troll on this forum by proxy - they post there but this forum wobbles. Let's not let that happen.

Congratulations on a forum that has become worse than its predecessor.  Dildos, vibrators, the greatest man that ever lived, what are you listening to now, etc., clearly indicate as you put it, "forum lead by an example of what a good forum should be."

Funny how he mentions trolling by proxy yet he hides behind privacyprotect to conceal his own identity.

I saw that post too and found it rather arrogant.  Alfie's house up in Phi Mai hasn't been flooded nor has he lost all of personal belongings from flooding.....and he expects the "Bangkokians" not to complain????  A large percentage of those "Bangkokians" he speaks about ARE FROM ISAAN AND WORK / LIVE IN BBK.  Hello Alfie, anybody home?  Then he says he didn't "see" anyone in the north east complain.  Amazing.  Did he go around to all of Isaan and interview all the residents?...or maybe he didn't "see" anything because he was too busy playing on his forum or visiting one of the local massage parlors.

Toddy cracks me up.  He writes a post, then makes 5+ replies to it before anyone has a chance to respond.  WTF is up with that?

Alfie and Toddy also make posts one after the other, many times within just a few minutes.  They should just pick up the phone and call each other, or get on skype.....better yet, get a room together.

Well, Alfie sometimes likes to use lyrics from songs to convey his feelings, both in and out of the classroom.  I found, what I believe to be the perfect song lyrics for him.   ;D This one's for you you, Alfie.

Private Idaho - The B-52's.

You're living in your own Private Idaho
Living in your own Private Idaho
Underground like a wild potato

Don't go on the patio
Beware of the pool
Blue bottomless pool
It leads you straight
Right through the gate
That opens on the pool

You're living in your own Private Idaho
You're living in your own Private Idaho

Keep off the path, beware the gate
Watch out for signs that say "Hidden Driveways"
Don't let the chlorine in your eyes
Blind you to the awful surprise
That's a-waitin' for you at the bottom
Of the bottomless blue, blue, blue pool

You're livin in your own Private Idaho
Idaho
You're out of control, the rivers that roll
You fell into the water and down to Idaho
Get out of that state
Get out of that state you're in
You better beware

You're living in your own Private Idaho.
You're living in your own Private Idaho.

Keep off the patio
Keep off the path
The lawn may be green
But you better not be seen
Walkin' through the gate that leads you down
Down to a pool fraught with danger
It's a pool full of strangers

You're living in your own Private Idaho
Where do I go from here to a better state than this?
Well, don't be blind to the big surprise
Swimming 'round and 'round like the deadly hands
Of a radium clock at the bottom of the pool

I-I-I-daho
I-I-I-daho
Whoa, oh, oh, oh
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
Get out of that state
Get out of that state
You're living in your own Private Idaho
Livin' in your own Private Idaho

Alfie is trying his best to keep me from browsing his forum as a guest.  Although it's not working for him, I do admire his efforts in trying to be the control freak that he is.

Oh lookie here.  I've been told that everyone knows who the owner of thairainbow is.  The question is....when is Thaiphoon going to recover from his mysterious illness and grace the forums once again with his wit, wisdom, and need for attention.  Alfie, any word on the matter?

His disappearance really left a lot of questions open - or better opened a lot of questions. Most disturbing is that nobody seems to ask what could have happened to him. When people get sick usually lots of their friends post well wishes or keep asking about their recovery. Not so with Thaiphoon! Could it be that other members of that forum are somehow involved into his disappearance? Could it be that some of them harmed him? So many questions! As good expats in Korat caring for each other somebody should file a report with the police that he went missing. Maybe it's not too late and he hasn't been murdered, maybe he's just being kept prisoner somewhere... :violent

I would expect that his friends have been kept informed by PM or email. I do miss reading his posts. I hope that he's not too ill.

Maybe he pays one of those accessibility checking services like http://www.host-tracker.com. They periodically, like every 15 minutes, open your website from maybe 50 different locations around the globe and send you an email notification, if it isn't accessible from all. It's meant for business portals, so they don't loose customers due to inaccessibility caused by technical problems. Poorly performing forums are said to use those services as well to make believe.

Looks in the "Who's Online" stats like this:
