Unfortunately we do have a "problematic person" in Korat who does publish names, personal information and defaming comments on his websites when drunk or blind with anger. A few days later he might see things maybe a little clearer and block these websites to public access. But too late! Google has already read that misleading and defamatory content and keeps it in the search engine, and those pages now blocked by the owner of the website are still publicly accessible as a cached screenshot on Google.
Today I was asked by a friend what he could do to protect himself from any long-term effects of that.
I think best is to ask Google to update their info of that site that is no longer open to the public but still ruining your reputation by the search results and cached pages. Read more about that there
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Web+Search/thread?tid=70f6a8609a4486c8&hl=enI can imagine that Google will be a little more careful with future indexing of a page that has been asked to be removed from the search results and cache over and over again by different people. Maybe then (and far too late for the page's success) its owner might understand that it is of little use to buy a domain name for a fortune, if hespoiled the success of his own site bychallenged repercussions to his own drunk or mentally sick use of his site.
So please don't hold back reporting pages and search results to Google that might cause you disadvantages. Even people claiming to have undergone an education as lawyer don't have the freedom to use the word criminal in connection with somebody's name. They have to respect the presumption of innocence of others. Nothing against calling themselves criminals...
Maybe the person who probably understands that he is the subject again could himself just ask Google to update his site in the search results. I think that an easier way.
