Does anyone know why Koratfarang appears to have disappeared up it's own rectum?

Sorry, don't know anything, can only conclude that its admin preferred to get out of the line of fire when a local boy aimed at some big boys in Bangkok who had told him to get a grip. Ricochets from real professionals can be just too dangerous. Maybe its admin is at present assiduously clearing its database of potentially explosive posts and will put it back online later on. Calculate a couple of years. It's a mighty lot of work.

Learn to appreciate Mia's Thai dishes or starve! Might reduce the number of divorces, if hunger teaches them to surrender, to be subservient themselves.

But there's still McDonald's at the Mall...

There are always the cheap rice shops that stay open into the early hours. You never know who might be standing behind you in Korat in the middle of the night, though.

OK, let's attempt to analyse what dangerous blow had been posted before the forum was taken offline by somebody with access to the web account the forum was/is running on. Nobody with access to the forum only, neither as administrator nor moderator, could have changed the permissions of the folder /board/ on the web account. Unless access to the forum had been blocked by the owner of the web account or the webhost it could have been taken offline only by somebody who had access to the web account, somebody who did help with setting up software like a parallel forum or a blog maybe, and knew the log-in data. An action not authorized by the admin maybe.

Now what words had been posted, that either the admin or a friend of him knowing the log-in data deemed so dangerous to take down a whole forum for in panic?

"You are just a liar Kurt.
And you know my name.
Sue me if you are not a liar.
I will show in court how you are a liar and harass me with your friends for years.

Sorry to say, but I am not afraid of lawyers and the only lawyer that wrote to me for you, an American immigration lawyer, has not been retain by you… according to him. He must have notice you have severe problems.  (...)" is the relevant part of the post in my opinion.

Even if I didn't know what that "only lawyer that wrote to (him for the attacked person)" did write in reality, and which is far from what the poster stated there, the words "has not been retain by you… according to him." is not only interference in a relationship between a lawyer and his client, the attempt of an intrigue, an extremely unprofessional and despicable act for somebody claiming to be a lawyer. It is also hardly credible that a lawyer would act on behalf of a client against himself disagreeing with his client. The poster imputes that lawyer highly unprofessional conduct and low moral standing.

" He must have notice you have severe problems." is not only expression of a degrading opinion, an insult and defamation of the attacked, but further an insult aimed at that lawyer, again imputing unprofessional conduct by not keeping a proper relationship to his client.

Definitely severe offenses, but wouldn't it have been enough to just delete the post and maybe ban its author from using the forum for the rest of his time in Korat? And that's where my doubts come from that it might have been not the admin himself who took the board down but just that person, whom the admin had given kind permission to run a blog on that web space before, and who is said to have installed a parallel forum there, to which the database could have been connected in case of the forum software crashing.

The question remains, why this hasn't been done, or why the /board/ folder hasn't just been chmodded back to allowing public access?

Judging by your avatar, your backside seems well able to take care of itself!
