That yellow portal page you get to from the domain says "Sorry, KoratFarang.com is now CLOSED", while the forum being in maintenance mode shows the message "KoratFarang is closed."

How did it get to that again?

There was this auction of several items donated by "Korat-DK" (KDK) for the benefit of the orphanage "Thailand Children's Home". The auction was to run until 6 pm yesterday. Among the auctioned items was a baseball ball. "Koratkurt" (KK) had offered 200 baht for that. Yesterday at 5:19 PM he asked expressively directed at KDK: "Did I win the baseball?  If so, where can I pay for it and pick it up?"

A certain person (not KDK) answered at 6:02 PM: "Sorry Kurt, someone just sent me an email and bid 500 just a minute ago, last moment. You are a loser again."

From there an argument seems to have erupted between KK on one side and that certain person and KDK on the other side about fairness at auctions and donations to charity. KK had offered a 5,000-baht donation, on which KDK commented that KK were just showing off with that, culminating in KDK accusing KK to have shown his "real face" in a "vicious PM"  he had sent him. As an answer to that KK posted the contents of that PM to have the readers see how he was falsely accused and defamed by KDK. After that the board was closed.

I do hope that the undeniably good cause of supporting the orphanage hasn't been damaged by the actions of that certain person abusing and very likely manipulating the auction for a silly game to post the stupid words "You are a loser again." 

He just can't keep from provoking others!

When the auctioneer posted at 6:02 PM about a deadline for bidding that ran until 6 p.m. having been kept by an email he says came in "just a minute ago" according to his judgement he certainly prove to be qualified as auctioneer. That email coming in at 6:01 PM  must have been too late. 

Lawyers usually do know about deadlines. A deadline "until 6 pm" has its last minute at 5:59 pm. Heaven help the client whose lawyer did not do things in time, because he erred about the deadline!

Someone seems to be taking the blame already:

It is SportRider forum and he decides. I believe one person in responsible for that shut down but this is only my opinion.
SR should have banned him a long time ago.

Well said, JF.  Here is the latest campaign to try and cover up the BS he started and put the blame on someone else.  That's what he does best..deceive, lie, and distort the facts.  Have a look at this.

Do I understand this right? The guy cannot control himself, what he is posting etc. and blames SR for not having controlled and kept him from posting silly attacks like "You are a loser again" etc. Ain't that asked a bit much of an admin? Or was he still pissed about SR not having welcomed him as the savior who takes the forum off his hands, and aimed just at the closure of it with his continuous attacks? It is sue-boy who cannot control himself. Probably drunk again he writes to KK "you are a loser again."  Why not just say, the baseball has already been purchased better luck next time.  By saying "you are a loser again" is a deliberate attempt to try and start chaos on the forum and insult KK. Any normal human being wouldn't respond in such a way that he did....Then Korat-DK comes back with his comment about a "personal vendetta." You gotta be shi.tten me. THEN Korat-DK goes on to say about a vicious PM received from KK which everyone now knows is completely false and fabricated by him in an attempt to try discredit KK.  I saw the PM before the forum went down and so did several of the members.  There was absolutely nothing that was vicious about the PM from KK as Korat-Dk has put it. Bad move Korat-DK you just proved you are a liar.  Can you say, "Busted!"

Lying, by posting something that was NOT true only brings out what kind of character you are.  I for one will NEVER donate to any charity you CLAIM to sponsor, nor will I ever use the services of a certain lawyer you employ.  In case you didn't know, in your feeble and foolish attempt to try and discredit a long time member of the community, you and your little froggie friend have effectively just dropped to ZERO on the credibility factor.  Don't believe me?  Go ask around town.

as an update dereklev posted this on another forum;

In mitigation of SR's actions he received an email which threatened legal action for allowing "defaming" posts on KF.

He is currently in England dealing with a very sad personal episode in his life.

Here is part of an email he sent me.........

To let you know the background, yesterday I had some kind of legal
notice from......(text removed by me) and I don't have even one second to consider
it's implications (or even if there are any).  Reason is I'm in the UK

This kind of thing throws into perspective the idiocy and nonsense of
some people who seem to make a conscious decision not to find
something better to do with their lives than get involved with
pettiness on a forum.  I really don't have the time to deal with any
of this hence I closed KF.

A guy I knew just copied all the valuable stuff from his forum to a new forum and handpicked a few members from the memberlist to invite to that newly opened forum, and found a soul to give him money for the old forum, which was practically worthless by then, because of the faithful members all having moved to the new forum of the same admin. He just "forgot" to reveal that he was the same person running the old forum before. 

I think, even if SR had been a little heavy-handed in his treatment of some members and in many people's opinion sometimes  wasn't impartial enough, many people do wish the board with him as admin back.

Another admin? It will be difficult to find somebody who'll not appear to the old crowd as "jumping from the frying pan into the fire".
