His character seems to have changed rather a lot over the past couple of years.
That's right, i remember reading his posts on the flood situation a couple of years back on grumpyexpat very informative.

What might be the logic behind denying someone membership of a forum simply because he belongs to another?

No logic to make out, especially after his advertisement on here:

Some offers for koratfarang.com but none accepted. Question is, why buy it? Just start a new one! Like this,,,, korat-farang.com   ;D
More choice for the expat community.

Hope you don't mind the link, JohnnieF.

"More choice for the expat community" to him seems to mean "one choice only!"  :spin

Not sure I'm in right department here or not. My apologies if that is the case.

You're 100% in the right department:

That's what this subforum here was meant for! To explain to the friends you got cut from by the unduly interference of a forum admin, what happened and how you see it.

Of course news and info about the VFW should be spread over that and this board as well!

Though I don't qualify for membership either, the VFW guys Bill, Paul, Fred, Gary, Smitty etc. helped me to get set up in Korat 24 years ago. It's an important part of Korat that should be supported fully by all of us! Good luck in getting a new generation of active members together again, Dennis! :)

Hi Dennis and all.
I'm not a Member of, but I have looked at korat-farang.com over the last week or two, quite frequently as there were regular updates on the subject of Steve of the Walrus Bar. That was a great help to me.
But I couldn't help noticing, that not much else was happening on that Forum - I sneaked a look today and postings seem few and far between.
The site is nicely constructed IMO.
If what you say is true about not being allowed to be a Member of both Forum, that is hard to understand if not pathetic.
Why not be a Member of both ?
After all, if you read the BKK Post, you are allowed to read The Nation too !
And welcome - I guess the GB in your moniker doesn't mean Great Britain then LOL.
Good luck with VFW.

As far as I'm concerned, you are welcome here and I wish you success in recruiting new members to VFW. I don't qualify for membership.
+1 and good luck

Thanks for the welcome. I will relate my experience to other VFW members.

I understand that it has happened to a few others. Take it as a compliment.  :)

I wanted to relate an experience I had with another Korat forum this morning. I posted here on this forum and an identical post on the other forum. The subject of my post was recruiting for members of the American VFW (Veteran's of Foreign Wars). It was nonpolitical...non controversial. My post was deleted within an hour and my membership was cancelled on the other korat forum.. No explanation given.
I heard somewhere that if you belong to koratfart.com, that you are not allowed to belong to this other korat forum. In fact my membership was deleted some time ago at the other forum. But I just figured it was hiccup in their system. To get reinstated I had to use an alternate email address and a new name.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? I really had no opinion about either forum before this all happened. I'm an infrequent visitor to both of them.
