Riverside Restaurant
« on: August 03, 2014, 05:37:14 PM »
This lunchtime we were over in the north east corner of Korat and came across a very nice riverside restaurant.  Some of the dishes were on the high side of spicy for my liking but at least the fish was very good.  I am not exactly sure of the location but here are a couple of photos which may help to identify it. Also, immediately behind the restaurant was a bar containing a Norwegian flag.  So I would appreciate some help in pinning down the name of the Soi for future reference.  It was certainly a very pleasant lunch time spot but I imagine in the evenings the mosquitoes will be a bit of a problem.

Riverside Restaurant Nai Muang, Phimai. been there a few times. We normally have fish fresh out the mun river so i'm told.

Coming from korat you must have turned right on the 206 then turn right again before the bridge, before coming into phimai.

There are a few restaurants along that road, as you bare left round the bend riverside is on the left hand side.

Here's there website if it's the same one riverside-restaurant-phimai

Hi Thaiga, no it wasn't that one.  We were only 3 or 4 km from downtown Korat.

Went to find this, but it was closed for Mother's day and everyone in the area was out in force cleaning up rubbish in the area - looked like something organised by the local temple.

Anyway, I had to ask the way to the restaurant as it is not immediately obvious, so I thought I'd attach a map and give it a try next week.
