Pizza in Korat
« on: November 20, 2009, 07:18:56 PM »
Pizza was something unheard of in Korat until Sten from Sweden opened his Pizzashop around 1996. At that time he had a small restaurant near the train station that soon became a popular meeting place for many foreigners in Korat and was crowded every day. Sten himself died three years ago, but his wife keeps running the restaurant that had moved to a larger place near Wat Po.

The American chain Pizza-Hut soon followed with a couple of restaurants in town like one in the Mall and another not far from Yamo.

The next notable pizza cook opened his DR Pizza in Choho about three years ago and is quite famous for his pizzas.

Now I heard that Korat even has a real Italian pizzeria on Sueb-Siri Road. Has anybody already been there and tried?
