no problem, park almost in front of the restaurant.
That's what customers did in front of Jürgen und Wikanda's "Restaurant TREFF" on Mukkhamontri Road in Korat, causing the police to come in and complain very often. "Restaurant Treff" then relocated to the former "Baan Nai Suan", keeping the name in translation as "Haus im Garten". Unfortunately that venture didn't last either, like the Restaurant on Phuket, where the owner is said (by Jürgen) not to have extended the lease, because he wanted to run a hotel in that location. As Jürgen told, Phuket became too much for him anyway, so they started to move towards Korat, where his wife is from. They had a restaurant on Highway 304 towards Pattaya, right before the mountain, which they also had to give up early. Though not wanting to tell why, Juergen wrote in his
introduction on Korat-Info, that obviously the landlord had seen that it was running too well.
There were some rumors why he gave up the last venture in Korat, the "Haus im Garten" (Baan Nai Suan), but it might be most interesting to hear his version.
Anyway, with his old friend
Dirk the bakers's words juergen kopf hoch da geht was man muss arbeiten an sich selbst
Translated: "Jürgen, keep your head up, there is something possible, one needs to work on himself"
That includes not posting questions like
"warum ist es so ruig" ("Why is it so quiet?") on public forums. Which is hard to understand, since according to a former supplier, he lost interest in running the place due to a "tumult-like discussion" between staff and guests. That a competitor said, the place was closed by the authorities after a guest had complained to them about lacking standards of hygiene in the kitchen, could have been just envy.
Better success this time, Jürgen!
