Balu, German restaurant, closed
« on: August 04, 2012, 04:30:50 PM »
Balu's last official open day as a German restaurant was Friday, a week ago from yesterday. He plans to try to keep a Friday evening gathering "alive" and will do the cooking himself. His wife will be converting the place to a Thai food restaurant.

So, normal service then.......unless of course there are foreign military service people around for the exercises, in which case it's open and full of hookers organised by someone close to the proprietor of the establishment.

Unless, of course, the sausage business has eclipsed the hospitality trade these days in revenue generated.

Happy to say 'Balu' is NOT closed. But !
For the time of the US visitors I believe it is (or was) open 3/4 nights a week but otherwise, it is open on Fridays only, where I must say, about a  week ago, I had a first class fillet steak and a good German beer at reasonable cost.
Lunchtime opening for Thai food though, has finished I think.

He was sort of closed, but is open now.  Cobra Gold is in town so he will be open everyday.
