UPDATE : 2 February 2012

The police have launched a manhunt for a German national suspected of killing his Thai wife in Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

Neighbors testified the couple had been fighting repeatedly since they moved back from Germany 7 years ago.

The Nakhon Ratchasima police received a tip that a possible homicide took place in a mansion in Tha Ang District. They found the body of a middle-age Thai woman on the bathroom floor. The victim had been identified as 47-year old Pranee Bader. Her body was wrapped in a blue-white shower curtain. Her head showed sign of a major head trauma, while her neck was also badly bruised. Next to her body was a belt that police believe was used by the suspect to strangle Pranee.

The investigators said there were signs of a struggle and shards of glass were discovered in the bathroom. Human tissues were found underneath Pranee's fingernails. Samples have been collected and sent to the police forensic lab for further tests.

According to the police's preliminary investigation, they believe Pranee was a victim of a domestic disturbance turned bad. Their primary suspect at the moment is none other than Pranee's husband of over 10 years. Ridiga Bader, 66-year old German national, relocated to Thailand with Pranee 7 years ago. Neighbors told the police that Ridiga is a hot tempered man. However, to their knowledge, Ridiga had never gotten physical with Pranee before.

Ridiga is now missing. An investigative team has been set up to track down Ridiga while the immigration police have also been alerted to prevent the suspect from leaving the country.
Anyone who goes to a psychiatrist should have his head examined.
