I don't see anything wrong in Tony letting somebody else taking care of a website for him. Lots of people rather use webservices instead of wasting their time and mind on setting up a website themselves. Good for job creation in Korat, if Tony can afford to pay a webservice.

The owner of the server may be providing the hosting as a free service to friends or fellow businessmen.

Can imagine that he even enters the value of free drinks as income on his tax declaration. ;D

Owning a website for somebody else is a dangerous thing. Because you never know what that other person gets you into.

Liability for defamation or worse stuff like instigation can cost you millions. The painful of this is that you or the guy you hold a domain and host a website for might have even removed that dangerous post when he or you became aware of its possible legal implications. Duty done, no danger left? Wrong!!! What will the judge say, that you had forgotten to block your website before posting from being read by Google who did so and stored an image of that criminal text in its cache for everybody to open from the list of search results? Will you be glad that Google served your desire for publicity sooo fast and good and even multiplied your criminal defamation and "calling for boycott"?

In my opinion there is no doubt that both of you will be liable. So for those who should shy the search engines for fear of them reading the posts they had not thought over so well and might remove a little later a META tag or a "robots.txt" file on the webspace to block robots from reading and storing evidence could be a good thing.

Find out about how to do that here.

Oh, you and your friend want publicity and rather use Google than block it; then better watch out what you're posting in the first place. Never post after visiting a bar or when still in a bar to avoid being put behind bars. ;)

That sounds like very sound advice, is there any particular bars i should avoid in Korat regarding posting, would'nt want to be mistaken for a unsavoury character ::) ;) or will i just be able to tell by the smell.

Do not only put your nose in the air, watch out for an uneven ground. When people are sinking they usually leave a hole in the ground where the earth swallowed them. You wouldn't want to stumble and fall in. It might be very deep and extremely hot in there. ::)
