Phishing over facebook
« on: April 16, 2011, 11:27:14 AM »
Received one of those messages from facebook about someone sending me a message over my account there in my email client. It  looked genuine with the sender's address Facebook "[]". Still my email client identified it as a phishing message and warned me in a red bar above the message:

"This might be a phishing message and is potentially unsafe. Links and other functionality have been disabled. Click here to enable functionality (not recommended)."

So I had a closer look at the message, compared it with another message like that I had received before. Looked authentic, except for the email address given was not the email address I used for my facebook account. It was sent to another email address of mine. All emails from my various email addresses get collected by my email client.

So, who knows that email address and me having a facebook account and who is known for forgery etc.?

Don't keep us in suspense. Have a stab at guessing.
