Message Board or Blog?
« on: February 08, 2009, 08:45:02 AM »
Having made up my mind to add something of me own about Korat on the web I got to the question: "A blog or another forum?" Now we all know how forums can develop and how much pain they can give people who helped set them up. Everybody considerns 'forums' to be more of common property than a personal blog. But what's really the difference? I don't think there is any! In the typical forum software it is just easier to post to different topics and you can see much easier what topics are covered than in a blog that appears to be more of a diary. Let's say the forum is more topic-oriented than the blog. But IMO  you can use a forum just like a blog but not really vice versa.

So "koratfart.co.cc" is a forum. But I intend to give my personal opinion to various topics in here as well. Maybe some others will join me and get their personal spaces for "reflection" as well.

Cheerio!

Good forum should be like many blogs on the same site. Maybe it develops into that. Give it a couple of years. It took three years for another forum to get run down, maybe this one will be at the top in three years.
