3G in Korat by DTAC

DTAC just went live in Korat with 3G a few days ago.  The service was only offered in BBK.  The little 3G logo just appeared on my phone one day.  I called DTAC and they said that 3G service is now available in Korat without a change to my current internet package in price......Here is a speedtest from my phone...server is Bangkok, so yeah it's going to show that it's fast.

*Note, for the Admin of another forum who is trying his hardest to keep me from viewing his forum and continues to FAIL on a daily basis.   No IP address in the screen shot is there?  I'm sure he'd love to ad that one to his long list if I posted it.

I wonder if his fingers are getting tired yet, from banning all those DYNAMIC ip addresses and proxy servers.  Perhaps he doesn't know what a dynamic ip address is.  He could ban an entire domain...AIS, DTAC, TRUE, TOT, etc.....but then he'd have no members on his forum....except for the multiple ones he plays.

Thats quite an interesting observation thaiga, all ip's are shared, lets say 1,000 people per ip for arguements sake, lets say my connection goes to a box with 50 other peoples connection, lest say thats got a 250mb bandwidth limit, obviously we would all like the lions share of that connection but it is limited to each user, it would seem the limiting is done on the MAC address if what you say is correct, wonder if you could stick say 10 MAC addresses on a PC

I thought it was something to do with earthing.as i get the extra mbps with the second pc connected but not booted up.

Tried that with 4 PCs/notebooks in different rooms connected over the same modem/router without any difference. At each about the same 2.8 Mbps. So it isn't the MAC.

On a PC that is correctly earthed I just get the same. The PC connects to the internet over WLAN.

Earthing is quite a problem. When I built the house I tried to hammer into the electrician's head that I want earthing at every outlet.   Still he didn't do everywhere.

AIS sent me this ad:

"Pay 49 B. Get unlimited GPRS & 3G data 140 MB within 24 hrs. Press *500*93#."

From other sources I heard that in the monthly package only 3 GB data are available over 3G, then they downgrade you to EDGE. The ad AIS sent me I interpret as 140 MB data available on the 24 hrs package, rest unlimited on GPRS or EDGE.

What are your experiences, BF?
