Posting the Sportsbar program

Hi everybody.

My name is Briany and my Missus runs the sportsbar. We used another forum until recently (not getting involved if you know what I mean) and didn't realise there was another. The forums are essential for people who run businesses here as a source of advertising so we are delighted to find this one. We generally use the forum to inform everybody of our weekly schedule for Live  Music, Golf Society and Live Sports so, "Watch This Space".
If you've never been in the Sportsbar, pop down and say hello; friendly spot, but you won't have a clue what I'm saying because of the "Paddy Accent"----- so just smile at me and pretend.

welcome to this forum!

Like on most webboards information about local businesses in the form of announcements is welcome here, too. That's how I categorize your weekly schedule for Live  Music, Golf Society and Live Sports. Maybe you'll find a way to enter the events into our calendar. That's its purpose!

"Advertisement" I don't regard as plain information, but rather the drawing of new customers by commendations etc. Someday we might add a bar for advertising banners on this site as well to help pay for the expenses. Until then it's called "information about local businesses".

I assume you mean by that you're an Irish. I had no problems understanding people when I hitch-hiked around Ireland more than 30 years ago. Don't think I'll have many now.

Cheers for that Johnnie. I will use that section in future and thanks a million for the reply. Yes indeed I am Irish with a very strong Dublin accent. I get a lot of stick for it but all good clean harmless fun.

Actually I misinterpreted your post there. I thought I had entered my post in the wrong section. I will be careful only to use the forum as a source of "what's on information" in future and not try any blatant or misleading advertising if that's what you mean.

And if it's on a certain date you can connect your post to the calendar. So people see the event in the calendar by a link to your post. Maybe I'll do it the first few times for you. And if you post something in the wrong section I'll move it for you. No problem! Nothing in this forum has found a steady routine yet. We're still trying to make the best of everything.

I've only just noticed that link to calendar button, thats a pretty good idea, should use it for the festivals and holidays in Korat.
