Posting or pasting pics to the forum
« on: January 01, 2013, 09:18:46 AM »
(Sorry I don't know how to paste the pics)

Several ways to post pics:

1. Hotlink (Easiest): Right-click on the pic, select "Copy Image Location" => place cursor where you want the pic to appear => click the IMG command (Insert Image) over the post window: => now right-click again and select "Paste". Post!

2. Download and upload to forum: Right-click on picture, select "Save picture as..." => choose location on your computer where to save => click "save". Now click "Attachments and other options" below the post window, and select which pic from where on your computer. Post! The pic will appear below your post, maybe downsized for display in the post. Clicking upon it will display the full size in your browser.

3. Upload to our gallery and hotlink from there. For some the bridge is working, for some not. Gotta find out yourself, if it does for you. If it ain't, please tell me!

4. Upload to another storage on the web and hotlink from there either with the prepared commands or as described on 1.

The size of pics to be uploaded or hotlinked is limited to 720 pixel in width and also 720 pixel in height to avoid the template going out of shape in readers' browsers, not forcing them to side-scroll to follow the line of text. Upload size is also limited to 256 kb per upload.

If you need or want to change the size of the picture when hotlinking, you can modify the IMG command by specifying the size in the command, giving "width=pixel height=pixel" inside the first IMG command brackets, after the IMG. But beware, your setting there must keep the aspect ratio (usually 4:3 for landscape format and 3:4 for portrait) or your pic might look funny like that:

Fun is the one thing that money can't buy
