If you smite someone by mistake - then try to rectify it by add that karma back same day the karma goes up 2.

So if the karma was 10 mistake making it 9 - rectifying the mistake makes it 11. It wont go back to 10 within the allotted time.

Duh if you know what i mean. :spin

Ok, a test smite made it 16. Wait a little for the server to have digested that. And then I'll try to rectify it.

You're right, thaiga! If you smite once, then "rectify" it, it goes up two from the erroneous smite instead, i. e. it ignores your former smite and gives an applaud. But for a second smite you get the message that you'll have to wait 48 hours before you can vote again. Probably that is possible only withing the edit grace period.

Roger, my sincere apologies for having attempted to rectify that smite! In future I'll leave a mistakenly given smite.  :-[

When I can vote for you again on Friday I'll give you a compensating applaud and then rectify it with a smite... ;D
