Goodbye from thaiga
« on: November 14, 2018, 12:22:20 AM »
Wishing all a happy christmas and of course a fantastic new year, thanks for those who have followed me along my merry way, but the way things are going behind the scenes are not my cup of tea, although i have struggled along with no replies and very little help from my own team at times, that's all part of the game. i enjoyed most of it, a roger  ;)

good luck to all from Thaiga

Hi Thaiga,
Very sorry to hear that.  Your efforts on here have been much appreciated.  Why don’t you take a break over Christmas and then come back fully refreshed in the New Year?
If the old only could, if the young only knew.

Sorry to see you give up! 10 years are a long time for a forum. Nature took its toll on the members, too. Some passed away, others aged and lost their strength, got burned out. I hope, you recover yours, thaiga! In any case, thanks for your commitment helping the expats of Korat and Isaan!

What does this mean the forum is no more? :-(

Best of luck Thaiga.

No, the forum will still be there, but drag on with far less posts, unless some old or new members start posting and participating more. I can understand thaiga. But I alone cannot make up for the other Korat expats' lack of participation. I got lots of other things of my own interest to take care of right now. This forum or also Korat-Info.com are not my main "job".

The Korat expats are asked, whether they still want thaiga to feed them with info and ideas to discuss about. I'm only the admin, offering a service. Maybe the answer to thaiga's tiredness should be looked for somewhere else...

Thaiga, I heard of this news and wish you a Happy Christmas and New Year too . . .

You have been a talented and hard working Leader on KF and I wish you well - whatever your reasons are.

I still remember all your help sometimes but that's that. HC, HNY and TCOY . . .

The message to Members would be - use it or lose it ? Is that right ?

Everybody's wish to retire when he feels not needed anymore should be respected. Worse is when people are forced to retire at a certain age though they are still needed.

Thanks, thaiga! Best wishes for your retirement! And of course a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

In any case, thank you, thaiga, but as you kept giving the answers to yourself already, why should others have responded still? :-[

Sometimes a little less is a lot more! How many will go with you?  :-[

Also my best wishes for your retirement!

hey johnnie boy, are you trying to tell me something, there are over 20 posts on this page (http://koratfart.com/general-discussions/one-lucky-kid/msg48035/) alone in this thread from me. yet a one liner (above) gets a thank you.
are you on self destruct or is the content not up to your liking.

You're right, I should take off that "Thank You"-mod, if I can't use it much! Now would I get a "Thank You" for that? It's asked a bit much to have me read every post, play every video and think about it being worth to thank for. I'm in need of reducing my workload! Lots of other things keep coming up, that need my attention. Gotta keep balancing! ;)

Thanks, my enlightenment has been already, that ten years rendering this service to the Koratexpat community to this full extent should be enough. That date is approaching soon. The first post I had made on February 07, 2009, 06:35:56 PM. Then it will go on with limitations only!

Everybody's got a right to retire! ;)

Maybe some good ideas can be given than just demands or "ridicule".  :rclxs0

Today is the day of the ten years. Any offers to relieve me? :)

Well done Johnny, 10 years is a long time.  I hope whoever takes up the reins can do an equally good job.
