Very very easy to get around. Most people don't know how to change their ip address so allow me to demonstrate using vista 64x as an example.

1) Go to a DOS prompt and type CMD
2) Type ipconfig /release
3) Open up control panel and go to Network connections.
4) Go to manage network connections
5) Right click Local area Network and click properties
6) go to Internet Protocol Version 4
7) Hit properties
8) Select "Use the following IP address.  Enter 111.111.111.111 or any other number.  Then hit tab.
9) Hit close
10) Go back to Local area Network. and repeat step 6 and 7.  Select "Obtain IP address automatically.
Viloa! New ip address in less than a minute.

Changing the computer and machine name?  So easy that I'm not even going to explain how to do it. You can always set up a box to use an anonymous proxy.  If you really want to mess with the admins, just go and post from several different internet cafes in your neighborhood...plenty of them here in Korat. You can always use proxy software that will automatically change your IP for you every XX minutes that you specify. You do have more than one computer don't you?  With forum like this, there really isn't a need to go through so much trouble as anyone can log on and post whatever they want as a guest.

There are also several Perl Scripts that can easily allow you to hack SMF machines forums including this beta JF is running.

For me, if I really wanted to hack into a system I wouldn't be running MS WINDOWS like most of the noobies here.  I would get on my Linux box, spoof and IP and there is no WAY in hell you will know who I am.

Looks like your IP trick didn't work. ;)

Uh..I'm not trying to change my IP right now, but if you'd like a demonstration, I'd be more than happy to show you.

Also, why are you creating these new topics with me as the OP?  You created it using your editing tools so don't you think your name should be as the OP?  Finally, why are some of my posts being doctored? I keep copies of everything I post here and I've noticed some have been changed. Thanks.

1. When a thread is divided into two threads with "split topic" because the posting went off topic and went onto another topic naturally the first post of the new topic appears as the topic start. ;)

2. When I have to edit a post due to it violating the TOS I always indicate that it had been edited by me to show you. Funny you don't see already from that. When signing up for this forum you expressively agreed to have your posts edited or removed. Unfortunately your posts need to be edited, removed partially or completely far too often.

3. Posting on a forum with too much alcohol consumed is never good. Because then  the posts' content is always just smugness, egotism or personal provocation. No admin can allow too much of that.  ;)
Fun is the one thing that money can't buy

Easiest way to change your ip is just reboot your router, although you will still get an ip that is assigned by your isp in their ip range, as for hacking forums or whatever, makes no difference what operating system you use, windows is generally the most popular as scripts are generally made to run on windows, most people can use a script to hack something, very few can actually write the script, the only real reason to use linux is if your playing with viruses or trojans, although you can just use scripts which are made for windows.
