Apology
« on: July 02, 2010, 03:47:35 AM »
Over the last few days, i have been posting references about certain person of the Korat community, even though i have known the true identity of the poster.

I hereby Apologize to the person, and if i have offended you, i deeply regret any personal insult that i have made.

Yours truly

Frank Buchanan (Mr)

well done Franky boy. It takes a man to say sorry. Now if we could just get that no good BF to apologise to all the Koratians he has slighted, slandered and insulted. Fat chance ;)

I'd say by qualifications like "that no good" your chances aren't very high. Who'd apologize in the face of an affront like that?

"Surrender, you worthless creature!" sounds just like aiming at continuing a fight.  ;)

If you want to make peace with somebody you can just practice it instead of declaring your intention of forcing him to give up and hold peace: "if we could just get..."    ;)

I advise another approach or maybe just no approach, popeye. 8)

Ever heard of reconciliation? How to achieve that?

Any reason why I should surrender instead of defending myself when attacked.  8)

Nothing ironic at all, Frank!   :P

Is somebody who is by your words "retarded" prey for attacks?  :-[

If you want to engage in a personal fight with somebody you can use PM or email. Your post was removed due to violating the forum rules. It is not allowed to use real names and expose other's identities.

Though obivously you tend to delete only the posts that you see as offending the forum guidelines when it suits you, i remember this same member who i can not name, posting the same stuff months ago about my speech imediment and i requested you to not to delete it, but you deleted anyway now the same thing comes up again and you delete my post but not his

Double standards come to mind here

Frank, I'm fully aware of who made that post as a guest and for what purpose. The IP matched that of a member not living in Korat.  ;)

As previously stated, people can post whatever they like about me, does not bother but when i see the admin not being consistent in his dealings i put a big question mark over the policies of the forum.

Had my say now

Johnnie. there were many folk slagged off in BFs quest to find the elusive JAN.  Didnt read an apology from either you or BF. I also heard that he sent nasty e.mails and teletexts to innocent people.  Any comments on that. ???            Good for you Franky. 8) for at least holding your hands up.

If somebody feels compromised by somebody else's post (or even his own posted under an alias ;)) he can either click "Report to moderator" or send me a PM or email with a little explanation and I might edit or remove that post. If somebody did not make use of that he shouldn't complain that I owed him an apology for what somebody else (or he himself ;)) has posted. How can I understand each reference to an actually existing person, since I'm not hanging out with everybody and knowing their personal details? Isn't it a bit naive to expect me to write an apology for something I'm not involved in at all?  ;)

...and as if I hadn't put in a lot of efforts to calm things down and protect the innocent as well as protecting confidential data. Maybe you should have asked the elusive JAN to apologize for provoking the quest. It never hurts to show that you're an active member of a community helping to solve other members' problems.

To keep anonymous attacks reduced I changed the permissions for posting. You gotta register and activate with a registered email address now. And of course you gotta be logged in to post.

Sorry that we have to take this measure, but some kids don't seem to be able to live with freedom and the responsibility to take care of some matters themselves. ;)

Well, some traits lie in the nature of just every admin, and not only in Korat. That comes with the job. I'm glad to see that the other admin also has traits I can agree with.  ;D

Ye but hes not been around for a while, and was he not the reason you opened your own forum to get away from the Sh-t

If you think you can contribute to a community by running a forum you should do so. Of course every further forum is a tougher job than the first. Especially they have to deal not only with the "spill-over" of the first forum and the jealousy of the forum not being the only anymore. That means running them is a lot harder. To run a second or third forum even with more relaxed rules is an art. And there will be a lot more challenges to it. Sometimes you can be lax at other times you gotta tighten the strings. Depends upon the users of your forum. And upon how much sh-t you're willing to take from abusers.   ;)
