Residents of 30 provinces warned of flash floods

The Disaster Prevention and Minitigation Department Monday warned residents of 30 provinces to brace themselves for heavy rains and possible flash floods.
Wibul Sanguanpong, director-general of the department, said the provinces are Saraburi, Lopburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin, Buri Ram, Chaiypahum, Khon Kaen, Mahasarakham, Roi Et, Kalasin, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Ubon Ratchathani, Amnart Charoen, Si Sa Ket, Yasothon, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Buenkarn, Nong Bua Lamphu, Loei, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Tak, Phitsanulok, Sukhothai and Phetchabun.
Wibul said the provinces could be hit by heavy rains Monday and Tuesday so the people should get prepared for flashfloods and landslides.
