There has been an accident at an ice factory in Muang District of Ubon Ratchathani Province in which some ammonia gas leaked from faulty equipment.
Emergency workers rushed to scene to contain the leak and help evacuate workers from the area.
There have been no reports of injuries.
The poisonous gas apparently leaked from one of the three ice-making machines.
It's suspected that a pipe was ruptured by high pressure, causing the gas to gush out and breach through part of the roof.
Emergency workers successfully closed the gas valve.
However, there is still a lingering gas smell on the premise.
Repairmen have been summoned, and the factory will be shut down until it is deemed safe to ensure the wellbeing of the workers and the surrounding community.
