Stray And Neglected Animals
« on: March 08, 2011, 09:20:14 AM »
Stray and poorly cared for dogs and cats seem to be a problem in most communities in Thailand. I don't know about you but I moan about it and threaten vengeance but actually do nothing much. I hear talk about dog catchers from time time but have never seen one. Neighbours won't want their dogs harmed but they won't take care of them properly either.

There's a charity in Bangkok called SCAD that rescues these animals, neuters them, finds proper homes for them and educates owners in the proper care of their new pets. I think this is much needed and would like to see it extend to other cities. They need funding and other support. Take a look at this link to find out more and then go to the SCAD website. Perhaps there's something you can do to help.
