Inverse psoriasis – symptoms and remedy
« on: December 27, 2011, 06:10:57 PM »
Psoriasis may be the most dreaded skin disease for many. But are you aware of the different kinds of Psoriasis?  There are many which includes plaque, guttate, inverse, pustular and erythrodermic. The most prevalent among these is plaque psoriasis. Inverse psoriasis too is identified in many and it mainly affects skin folds of the body such as armpits, groin, under the breasts etc. There is a high possibility for obese people to be affected by this disease as they tend to have deep skin folds. Bright red lesions appearing on the skin folds are the common symptom of inverse psoriasis.  Unlike the common plaque psoriasis, this disease will not create scales on our body, as it affects mainly the moist body parts. The skin on the affected parts becomes red; at the same time it may appear smooth and shiny.

Some researchers say that it is very difficult to treat the disease, as the continuous use of ointments and creams on the affected body parts can result in further thinning of the skin.  Hence it is always good to go for psoriasis ayurvedic treatment which is devoid of any side effects. Ayurveda identifies the disease as a vitiation of vata and kapha dosha which in turn affects the skin and the blood tissues. Ayurveda practitioners take a holistic view of health and then suggest the apt treatments, which may range from a change in the diet to intake of herbal medicines,

If you're spamming that's a pity because this is this is an important issue for many and one for which the medical and herbalist professions have no good answer except to sell their expensive products.

Firstly, psoriasis is not a disease. It results from an over active metabolism which, in most forms, manifests as renewal of the skin at a much faster rate than normal. That explains the scales with new, red skin underneath and the red lesions. Anything which disturbs the usual rate of metabolism can create lesions which then may last for a long time. Examples of causes are wounds, illness, especially sore throats, and agitated emotional states.

The conventional and alternative medics both tackle the symptoms rather than the causes. Having said that, the cause often cannot be tackled because it is part of the make-up of the individual at that particular stage in his life.

One simple and, possibly common, trigger for an outbreak that seems to be overlooked by doctors is hives. The body reacts to natural yeast on the skin as if it was an attack. The individual first notices itching, perhaps in sweaty places such as the bend in the arm and knee or even all over the torso, and red pimples appear. That is hives. The body reacts to defend itself, the metabolism speed up and the pimples are replaced by psoriasis. Doctors often prescribe steroid creams to reduce the signs of psoriasis but it is a dangerous chemical that thins the skin and may have other side effects. If hives is suspected to be the trigger, then all that is needed is a few days' course of antihistamine pills, starting as soon as the attack begins.

Water based ointment with no medical content is useful for keeping the lesions a little oily so that they don't itch and are less obvious to the often thoughtless, curious people who point and ask personal questions. The answer to those people is that it is a metabolic condition which has the benefit of providing much quicker healing of wounds than it does for less well blessed individuals.
