Thailand ranked 31st - worlds laziest countries

So which are the worlds fittest and least fittest countries, data collected from smartphones from around the world by stanford university on the steps people take each day across the planet

Hong Kong can proudly claim to be the fittest, walking an average of 6,880 steps each day - the equivalent to around three-and-a-half miles, that's (6km)

But the people living in Indonesia appear to be the laziest, managing just 3,513, according to Stanford University researchers.

Thailand is ranked at 31 out of 46, and an average of 4,764 steps, that's one place behind the United States in 30th which averaged 4,774 steps.

Today's technology reveals that most smartphones have a built-in accelerometer that can record steps. which opens the door to new ways of doing science.
