World's first washable smartphone

Tired of those unsightly smudges and other dirt on your bacteria-laden smartphone?

A Japanese firm says it has the solution with what it describes the world's first smartphone that can be washed with soap and water.

Waterproof smartphones have been on the market for a while. But telecom company KDDI says its new "Digno rafre" phone -- to be launched in Japan next week -- is the only one that can withstand a soapy bath.

"Our development team washed the smartphone more than 700 times to test its durability," a company spokesman told AFP.

A new Big Apple sex tourism attraction for stressed out male business travelers and New York executives is located in Manhattan on 28th Street and 5th Avenue.

The attraction is a "GuyFi Booth”. It looks like a phone booth with a laptop separated from public view by a curtain.

The booth is actually a new high tech sex toy and meant to be a place where a stressed out man can find quick relieve through masturbation.

Hello, Dolly! Welcome aboard and please strap in

Thai Smile Airways says if owners of "Child's Angels" don't buy tickets for the popular life-like dolls they will be treated as hand luggage.

Coffee, tea or chucky: A woman lovingly embraces her Child's Angel doll.

The dolls, made to the same proportions as infants, have become fashionable since several celebrities adopted them in the belief they bring good fortune.

The owners take the dolls through a ceremony to draw angels into them in a craze that has swept the country. Believers normally take care of them as their children and dress them up in beautiful outfits.

"The Sampheng bag"

In thailand it's known as the rainbow bag and has been used in Thailand for a long time.

'Rainbow tote' latest fashion statement

If you haven't had the multicolour striped tote lying around somewhere in the house, you'd better buy one as it is not every day that a mundane bag found in every market in Thailand has become a fashion statement.

Balenciaga unveiled a set of oversized colourful striped totes at the Paris Fashion Week Fall 2016 on Sunday.

China’s “death simulator” set to pull in crowds

It is a whole new take on the “game of life”. In fact its a game of death. Xinglai which is “awaken “ in English is an attraction opening in Shanghai where participants are given the opportunity to be “killed off” by their peers “cremated” and then “resurrected” by birth through a latex womb chute.

KFC launches KFC-flavoured nail polishes, because apparently that's what the world's come to

Just when we thought we'd seen all the weird advertising concepts Hong Kong had to offer, advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather went and collaborated with KFC Hong Kong to create two KFC-flavoured nail polishes — "Original" and "Hot & Spicy" — to bring the fast food chain's famous tagline, "Finger Lickin' Good", to life.

Oh, and the weirdness isn't over yet. KFC also made this music video to accompany their nail polish launch, which features two models beatboxing, playing a keyboard, and making hand movements.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZMtaHjTDS4

Both polishes, which appear pale buff and scarlet respectively, dry with a glossy coat just like normal nail polish... except they're flavoured with the brand's famed secret blend of 11 herbs and spices.

At the lacquer's launch event yesterday, attendees were invited to taste the varnishes and vote for their favourite flavour. The most popular polish will then be mass produced and made available to the public, but a representative for Ogilvy told Coconuts Hong Kong that the product's availability will depend on public demand and interest.

"If you are more than 15 kilograms (33 pounds) above the average weight for your height, we ask you refrain from making a reservation," a list of rules posted on the restaurant's website states, explaining that patrons could be weighed if they do not appear to be within the correct weight range.  more here on ctvnews.ca

New KFC box lets you charge your phone while you eat your chicken

Perhaps having noticed that fast food diners are increasingly concentrating more on their phones than their food, KFC has launched an ingenious new contraption: a takeaway chicken box that doubles up as a smartphone charger.

The ‘Watt a Box’ has a compartment for food, a built-in power bank and leads for plugging in your phone so you can charge it while you eat.

However, they unfortunately won’t be widely available, for the time being at least. The limited-edition boxes, featuring detachable 6,100mAh Lithium-ion battery, USB cable and Apple lightning cable, are being offered in a week-long contest run on KFC India's Facebook page and at a handful of outlets in Delhi and Mumbai.

In devising the Watt a Box KFC said it wanted to "introduce an element of utility" to its 5-in-a Meal Box, which includes five menu items for 149 rupees (around £1.50).

In a few million years little green men from a distant galaxy will land on earth to explore the remains of our civilization.  They will unearth one or two of these Watt a Boxes which will be scrutinized by their learned professors.  The professors will conclude that the Watt a Box symbolizes the peak of civilization on earth where people no longer shared meals and conversation but sat alone eating crap food from a box whilst surfing for porn on their iPhones.

The selfie bottle, i won't say what went through my mind  :o when i read it, i suppose a small heineken would fit, you could take snaps of yourself while having a few beers. BUT ... it's only available in Israel for their Summer Love ad campaign. The point of the device is to allow drinkers to share pictures of themselves on social media.
