Title: WannaCry Ransomware
Post by: Johnnie F. on May 14, 2017, 11:06:17 AM
Got just three emails yesterday with a long number as subject, the message body left free and a mysterious zipped attachment, came all over the domainhost. How stupid must people be to unzip and open an email attachment without any message telling what this attachment is about?  Anybody wants me to forward those to him? :-[

curiosity, inquisitiveness an eager desire to know. Whats init Whats init Whats init for me

The man, gripped by curiosity, drills a hole to discover what the pipe carries  :) only to find it's a sewer pipe   :fart

again I got three of them today as email attachments. When unzipped on my Test-PC, Windows Defender immediately identified it as malware and deleted it. No files are encrypted or harmed. When I restart the PC now, l every time get this message still. I have to close that manually from the task bar or task manager each time it pops up, it can't be deleted, as it comes from the file C:\Windows\SysWOW64/mshta, that is part of Windows and can be deleted or edited by TrustedInstaller only.
