Patient ‘slides’ out of ambulance in morning traffic
There was a huge traffic snarl up on Bangkok’s Pracha Uthit Road on the morning of Wednesday (May 6) when a stretcher, with a patient on it, slid out from the back of an ambulance.

A clip shared on Police TV’s official Facebook page showed the back door of the ambulance opening as the vehicle was moving and the stretcher slipping out. The patient on the stretcher was not hit by the car behind the ambulance.

The event was met by a barrage of criticism about the negligence of officials.   nationthailand.com

Thai masseuses may soon get back to work but only ‘below the belt’

Those hoping their favorite masseuse could help with a tight shoulder or stiff back may be out of luck for awhile. Those whose pain lies below the belt could soon be finding gratification again.

The Public Health Ministry said yesterday that it will ask the COVID-19 task force to allow massage parlors to reopen but only – prepare to grin or smirk – to treat “organs” that are “below the waist.”

After talking with a group of massage parlor operators who urged the authorities to reopen their venues as soon as possible due to economic pain, Thares Karassanairawiwong, director of Health Service Support Department, said his team has come up with the idea to initially allow massages of the lower body, from the waist.

Massages to the upper body, such as the neck, shoulders and back, must wait since it could pose a higher risk of spreading COVID-19, Thares said.

However, the idea will be left to the task force to decide. On Sunday, the task force allowed venues such as shopping malls, gyms, beauty clinics and public swimming pools to reopen, with restrictions.

Man with fetish for stealing flip-flops arrested

A fake rescue volunteer in Nonthaburi province was arrested on Sunday (May 24) for stealing 126 flip-flops, which he revealed to be a sexual fetish.

On May 22, a couple complained to Bang Si Muang Police Station that three flip-flops were stolen by a man dressed like a rescue volunteer.

Police tracked him down from a security camera and arrested, 24. He explained that he had bought a uniform to disguise himself when he stole.

he had stolen flip-flops since he was 13 years old to smell while masturbating. He was arrested once and went to see a therapist but it did not work.

His relative said he had been admitted to a mental institution before but he had not taken the pills lately and it might have triggered the symptoms.

the dailynews.co.th reports some odd news as a pig born with an elephants elephant's trunk in Sisaket. BUT ... Alas his mum rolled over and flattened it so the pig is no more. it will be enshrined in a temple so generations of future Thais can win the lottery  ::)

When the neighbors heard about it they started coming armed with flowers and joss-sticks to show their respects and try and divine the winning numbers in the lottery. weird births are often seen as portents of good luck and money coming your way.

These eggs are fake, says angry Korat buyer

When Sombat Thunsungnoen bought several trays of discounted chicken eggs from a mobile grocery store he thought he was getting a bargain - until he tried to cook them.

Sombat, of Sung Noen district, complained to reporters on Friday that he had been scammed. The eggs were fake.

He said that on Monday he went out to buy chicken eggs at Sung Noen fresh market. Then he saw a mobile grocery store, a six-wheel truck, selling eggs in front of the market.

The eggs were much cheaper than the other stalls, so he bought three trays -- at 60 baht a tray of 30.   Other stalls sold eggs of this size at 85-100 baht a tray. He also bought two more trays for a neighbour.

He was happy with the purchase and returned home. It was only when he cracked open some of the eggs to make an omelette for his children that he realized he had been had.

The eggs he bought were not real. They had no smell and the egg "whites" were a powdery gel. He also realised then that the shells had a rough surface, not like normal eggs, and there were dark red dots on them, Mr Sombat said.

He later went to a store inside his community to buy eggs to compare them with the ones he bought from the truck. They were normal eggs; the others smelled like raw meat, and the whites were like a jelly, he said.

Mr Sombat said he had given some of the fake eggs to the Sung Noen district public health office to examine.

Man found with dead fish up his bum claims he ‘accidentally sat on it’

The Mozambique tilapia’s spiny fins had caused ruptures to the man’s large intestines and the procedure to remove it caused such a stench that those in the operating room reportedly gagged

A man who was found with a dead fish up his bum claims it found its way there after he “accidentally sat on it”.

The 30-year-old patient travelled to Zhaoqing First People’s Hospital in Guangdong, China, on June 3 after complaining of abdominal pain.

He then had a series of CT and X-ray scans which then found the source of the problem – a freshwater fish.

When asked by understandably baffled nurses how it got there, the man claimed he had accidentally sat on it.

“Do you think I’m an idiot?” one medic reportedly replied.

After the fish – a Mozambique tilapia – was found too big to be removed by an emergency endoscopy, surgeons decided to open up his abdomen.

They then found the creature’s spiny fins had caused ruptures in his large intestines.

Grim footage of the removal procedure – which reportedly caused those in the room to gag due to the smell – shows the unwelcome fish finally being taken out.

“It stinks so much,” one person can be heard saying.

The surgeon then places the bloodied animal onto a sheet next to its victim.

The question is:- Was the fish alive at the time of the accidental insertion?  If so then the guy should be subjected to the full weight of the law for abusing its fishy rights.

BTW I am just having my breakfast here so I am not going to look at the video.
