Shopping for computer parts
« on: November 05, 2012, 07:28:41 AM »
One of my hobbies to kill time with and not just hang around wasting it is fixing and upgrading the computers I, my Thai relatives and my expat friends have. So once in a while I need to go shopping for new parts. There used to be some shops at Klang Plaza where I could get a lot. But now not so many anymore. Especially IT Plaza and also The Mall are the places where the chances are higher to find what I'm looking for. Next problem are the sometimes huge price differences between the various shops. If I already have an idea what I need before I go I have a look at http://www.jib.co.th/web/ to find out about the recent prices. J.I.B. Computer Group does have shops in IT Plaza and in The Mall. They always charge the prices listed on the website. For many items they are just the cheapest. But in any case their website gives me an overview about prices, so I don't fall prey to somebody over-charging me. Little problem though the English fluency of their employees in Korat isn't very high. So you better get your questions answered before you go there.
Fun is the one thing that money can't buy

I have found that J.I.B. are pretty good and replaced my (faulty) speakers I recently bought there without too much fuss.  There is also a little one in Tesco Lotus Huea Thale.
