Call me a traitor, call me a back-slider, call me a fair weather forum user. But I made the mistake of attempting to register with K-F.com hoping to get me question answered and my needs satisfied under the delusion that most Korat farangs were populating said forum because they feel it a 'home from home' in the absence of the main forum that K-F is a TOTAL clone of.
Unfortunately, I came up against sportrider's 'admin validation' security procedure. Obviously this website must be a spin-off from the Pentagon's website or NASA or at least there must be some form of database query linkage between K-F and some really sensitive shit.
The fact is.... whoever has cloned koratfarang.com has gone to serious trouble of creating the entry page and the admin validation but also sought to ask 2 'anti-bot' questions for human verification, where one would have sufficed.
Anyway... I'm blabbering again... But to be honest, as much as I miss some of the folks on that forum, i won't be making any further moves towards it.
I did however, reply to the 'welcome/almost' email to the fact that I own my own forum moneynetworkforum.com That is 2 months old and 43K in alexa with over 10K members and almost 17K posts.
I managed this without a pointless landing page designed to add an extra page view to Google analytics. Or admin validation. As a matter of fact.. the lack of these 2 features actually helps my Google ratings and converts visitors into contributing members.
So if the admin of K-F is reading this...... RELAX... stop trying to ride on the wave of something that was not so fantastic... Be a bit forward thinking and earn your own identity.

Now then.... lets try it with the place I should have come to in the first place.
I am getting married on 11th April. I am well aware of the temperature, but I am relying on Songkran to cool us off again. I wanted my UK friends and family to have fun in SK... so thats why.
Anyhow... I am trying to avoid the evening karaoke blast like the plague. I don't mind karaoke, but hey.... 4 to 5 hours of karaoke all sung to Thai tracks... your wedding is supposed to be the happiest day of your life!!!
So what I am looking for (if anyone can help). Is a band that can play a good mix of Thai/Western tunes. I don't really want a man with a guitar, I want a proper full band.. If anyone knows where I can track this down, then I will be most grateful.
There will be a semi-heavy contingent of farang at my wedding (more than 3) so i don't want to drag them half way around the globe to subject them to 4 to 5 hours of Thai karaoke.
Enough said.
While I am on the subject... I would love to invite any farang from this board to the wedding, if you aint got nothing better to do. Would be a great occasion to touch base with a few of you sods. We got 400 invites going out, and that is the Thai contingent alone. My fiancees family are very well connected people, so it will be a good night.
If anyone can recommend 2 bands, that would be even better. I have a bit of spare cash for this thing, so I don't mind putting my hand in my pocket.
