CAR PURCHASE - 2nd HAND vs NEW & WHERE TO GO
« on: December 18, 2014, 01:13:38 PM »
OK it's getting to the time where we are going to require a Car in our Thai life...

Do we go near new or brand new is the question!

Are there many of these excess just brand new cars around for sale in Korat following the governments Tax incentives and then Car repossessions?

If so where do you go to find them around Korat?  Would you trust a Private 2nd hand purchase?

Buying new worries me a wee bit as Thais do not seem to take care ( respect ) of brand new material things to well!!  Perhaps dents and accidents come to readily.

Really appreciate any pointers from you fellow Koratians!!  Thanx :)

N.A.B. Brand new is almost certainly best. My Toyota up to 140k with only 1 B1000 part replaced.
Brilliant 2nd hand value available I guess in BKK and Korat too but go with a M8 who knows cars too and give it plenty of time.
If you go 2nd hand, a Toyota assured dealer such as by BKK Hospital in Korat, a good idea IMO.
Good luck !
