Does anyone know where to buy and sell genuine old amulets, please? Bangkok would do if there's nowhere in Korat.

You could try near Yamo, close to UOB.

UOB stands for United Overseas Bank, formerly Bank of Asia. It is located at the corner of Chumphon and Chomsurang Roads, opposite City Hall, at the end of the moat.

SAF, basement of The Mall also has them.  You can see the shop from the parking.   Also, many temples usually have some guy out front selling them.

Ta.

I want my own properly valued. I was quoted a good value by an amateur but would like a more professional opinion.

I have been warned to ensure that the piece is opened and examined in front of me. It seems that some dealers will swap you good one for a worthless copy if they can get out of your sight.

I'm told that there's one with a shop in the underground car park in The Mall but haven't been there yet. I hope that he's a valuer only. A dealer may not quote the right figure!
