Beer before wine?
« on: February 08, 2019, 08:56:34 AM »
Some British and German scientists have carried out experiments on 90 volunteers as to the comparable hangover effects of drinking beer before wine or wine before beer.  Details are in this Grauniad article:- https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/feb/08/beer-before-wine-not-fine-scientists-find-after-vomit-filled-tests

However, the test procedure was severely flawed in that white wine was used in the experiments.  It is unbelievable that these scientists made such an elementary mistake of considering white wine to be wine.  White wine is just a colorless fluid with barely any alcohol content.  It is definitely not wine.

It is clear that the experiment needs to be repeated, but this time using red wine which is the only true WINE.  I should be able to find 90 volunteers for the experiments, but I need help in funding the purchase of beer and wine.  Please send your donations to allow this important piece of research to be carried out.  My normal terms apply: Cash only, no receipts, no refunds.

Assuming the quality rating of the wine being at least Eiswein, Trockenbeerenauslese etc. please do consider me a volunteer!

OK Johnnie, I can confirm that only the finest wines will be used.  I noticed that the experiments used Carlsberg, which allegedly is a beer. The new tests will use Leo or Chang.
