Kerry Express Korat
« on: April 25, 2020, 12:16:21 PM »
I have always been puzzled as to how courier services route their packages.  I remember once sending some documents to the Passport Office in Liverpool via DHL.  The route went via Leipzig, Charles de Gaulle, Stansted and finally Liverpool.
Yesterday, I had to send some documents to Bangkok via Kerry Express.  I had never used them before and an email check revealed that their office is in Pho Klang Road near to the Ya Mo statue.  A family member said that there is an office much closer to our house on the 304.  So, off we went to the 304 and found the nice shiny office very close to the slip road for the Highway to Bangkok.  The office staff were very efficient and the package was lodged with them at 09:20 am.  Later in the afternoon I decided to check progress using the tracking number.  I was surprised to find:  12:08 Chaiyaphum,  13:12 Pho Klang Road.  So the package had gone to Chaiyaphum and back for no apparent reason.  The package was delivered to its destination in Bangkok at 10:00 am this morning. If I have to use Kerry again in the future then I will take the package direct to Pho Klang Road to avoid any un-necessary detours.
If the old only could, if the young only knew.

Hi t/t, some years ago i had four atm's sent from a uk bank lost in the thaipost, so the UK bank said by telephone, we will send another card by registered courier DHL. card never arrived, so i chased up DHL who said yes your mail was delivered from UK to BKK and we passed it on to thailand post to deliver to you, i'll get back to you. WTF

so they did get back saying, they can verify it was recieved at my local post office, of we go to the post office who then gave us the address of the postman who was supposed to deliver the package.

the lao kow drinking postman (who has now been replaced) said at his home, have a look for yourself, so we searched a whole room of undelivered mail, two hours later we found it. he did not understand the english address.

we now have another postman who knows us.

Yes kerry does have nice shiny vans, posh offices, do look the part, even delivery motorbikes, what with the current situation, people not wanting to leave their homes, shopping by post ect ect they have so much work, another covidearner. in your case looks like it was put on the wrong van.

there is an application you can download
below are some comments on that  :-[

Awful. Not only the App but their services as well. Not received any receipt or tracking number for package. Staff unfriendly. In-app location unaccurate. Kerry can deliver packages to your doorstep but when shipping one I have to come down 8 floors from your condo, walk out of the compound, walk to...

Map is not working. I can't pin-point my location in pick up request.

Very expensive. Don't called to customer first. Anyone can sign and take away

lots more here play.google.com/

I have fairly good experiences with Kerry, but mainly for mailing online-purchased stuff to me. They always called to announce their delivery. The tracking is ok. At first things came over Phi Mai, then about two months ago they seemed to have opened more stations around. The tracking now shows a reloading in NonSung and then gets delivered from DanKra, a village not far from here. For "signing" on their mobile phones I always hold a pen with rubber tip ready, so I don't have to touch the phone and catch something, the person "signing" on there before me with his bare finger has left. They come to pick up packages at your house for free-of-charge-returning to the merchant, if you call them. But I always used the option "Drop-off at Post Office" instead of calling for pick-up.

Neither do I have any complaints about the postman, the same guy since about 20 years now. My wife never forgets to give him a bottle of whisky or a box of cookies around New Year. He also takes my regular mail for mailing along. Only for registered mail I think it necessary to stop at the post office on the way to or back from the market or the ATM.

Quick thinking that j/f, of all the talk of wash your hands and so on, a mobile phone might hold more germs than we ever thought of and most push it up to their ear, close to touching their face.    Your Phone is More Disgusting Than You Think  8)
