Bangkok Christmas – A Moaning Mango Christmas Message

I guess a lot of Expats who come here adapt and get used to all the Thai holidays, odd days off here and there which are similar to bank holidays back in the UK, but how do they really feel about the big western holidays when living here in Thailand, Christmas and say Thanks Giving as examples.

Well here at Mango HQ we hate this time of year, we are not full of the festive spirit, watching Thailand hijack our Christmas holiday and dress up with little red and white hats, playing Christmas carols in 7/11 and wanting to exchange gifts? Schools and shops that stay open all day, Chinese tourists in Terminal 21, Shopping malls that put up Christmas trees decked out with Darth Vadar decorations that attract even more selfies than you can shake a selfie stick at, it makes us happy when Christmas is over.

Thailand, if you are going to do Christmas then do it properly and not treat it like a cheap Chinese copy made in the back streets of Chinatown.

So from sweet3mango we really do wish you a Very Merry Christmas

Bah Humbug
